Supplies:

  • Artistic Software
  • Artistic Edge Digital Cutter
  • Assorted paper crafting tools
  • 12” x 12” double sided solid color card stock for apron front and back
  • 4” x 4” solid color card stock for spatulas. (Different color than apron)
  • 3” x 3” print color card stock for front pocket
  • 3” x 3” solid color card stock for oven mitt. (Different color than apron)
  • 3” x 1” wood grain color card stock for the rolling pin
  • 12” length of heavy weight thread (Pearl Crown Rayon)
  • Glue stick – permanent
  • Tooth picks
  • Tweezers
Cutting Instructions:
  1. Download draw files.
  2. Open “ApronF&B” draw file.
  3.  Place 12” x 12” double sided solid color card stock on carrier mat and load into Artistic Edge Digital Cutter.
  4. Select the dashes and then cut them, then the ribbon holes and cut them and finally the apron sections and cut them. This prevents the apron from shifting when cutting the smaller sections.
  5. Set pieces aside for assembly later.
  6. Open the “Spatulas” draw file.
  7. Place the 4” x 4” solid color card stock on the carrier mat and load into the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter.
  8. Select the holes in the spatula and cut them.
  9. Select both spatula outlines and cut them.
  10. Open the “Pocket” draw file.
  11. Place the 3” x 3” print color card stock on the carrier mat and load into the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter.
  12. Cut the pocket and set side. Optional – cut approximately 1/8” x 2” strip to embellish pocket top.
  13. Open “OvenMitt” draw file.
  14.  Place the 3” x 3” solid color card stock on the carrier mat and load into the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter.
  15.  Replace the blade with a pen and select the horizontal lines. Please refer to the manual for instructions on using the pen   instead of the cutting blade.
  16.  Draw the horizontal lines.
  17.  Replace the pen with the cutting blade.
  18.  Select the outline of the oven mitt and cut it. Set aside for assembly later.
  19.  Open the “RollingPin” draw file.
  20. Place the 3” x 1” piece of wood grain color card stock on the carrier mat and load into the Artistic Edge digital cutter.
  21. Cut the rolling pin and set aside.
Assembly Instructions:
  1.  If chosen adhere the embellishment to the pocket approximately 1/8” down from the top.
  2. Arrange the utensils toward the left hand side of the pocket.
  3.  Adhere the utensils to the wrong side of the pocket and set aside for the glue to dry.
  4. Take the two apron pieces and fold along the all the notched cut lines. Note cut a short line where the folds cross on the back apron piece.
  5. Adhere the two long sides placing the glue on the shorter flaps.
  6. Adhere the bottom by placing the glue on all the short flaps.
  7. Using a small ruler or pencil smooth the inside of the box to assist with flap placement.
  8. Adhere the pocket approximately 2 ½” down from the top of the apron.
  9. Take the oven mitt center and adhere the 12” cord to the wrong side of the oven mitt.
  10. On the right side of the oven mitt tie the thread in a knot and then a bow.  Trim excess thread.
  11. Adhere oven mitt to apron.
  12. Take one section of ribbon and feeding front to inside, cross over the ends and adhere to the inside of the box.
  13. Set aside and let dry completely.
  14. Insert napkin, plastic utensils and a mint.
  15. Enjoy the BBQ!
